Company Description

Nearly 15 years ago my brother approached me and told me that I was going to be photographing his friends wedding. Yes, I had a camera and yes I liked to use it but photograph a wedding? I hesitantly agreed to be the photographer and the rest, as they say, was history. It was love at first wedding for me and I knew as I finished up that first job that this was not going to be the last time I shot a wedding.
The second wedding I shot with my good friend Tami and at the end of that wedding she said something to the effect of, ‘we need to start a business doing this’. And with that Evantide Photography was created (you can ask me if you want the longer version?).
Tami and I enjoyed a great run of photographing weddings together when her day job became too demanding to be able to put as much of herself into Evantide as she would have liked. So with her blessing and encouragement I have carried on and had a chance to watch this awesome business turn into something that would have been hard to dream up. Fast forward to an invitation to Meg to help me with a couple of weddings just a few short years ago. Yes I wanted her help and yes I indeed had some alternative motives having her join me:-). Have you met Meg? She’s amazing! For almost 10 years we rocked the husband wife team scene! Meg recently got an opportunity she couldn't pass up to head back to the lab and as our boys say, to do science. Meg has been such a rock and encouragement to me as I took the dive into this great adventure that is Evantide Photography.

Well that kind of turned into a history of Evantide, so here are a few quick things about me – I love God, my family, people, photography, music, soccer, teaching and my life!
