John Stewart Architects maintains quality, expertise, and acute attention to detail on every project. They bring extensive variety of experience and a critical objectivity to their work. They are general practitioners specializing in the process of innovative design.
John Stewart has maintained his practice in Bellingham, Washington continuing to work for private, corporate, and governmental clients. He has been the recipient of numerous awards for design excellence. In addition to the design of projects in the western United States, he has designed projects in Europe and Asia. His clients include international and national companies and individuals, museums, churches, theaters, city and state governments, K-12 schools and universities. Notable projects in Bellingham, Washington include the Depot Market Square, Fairhaven Village Green, the Bellingham Cruise Terminal and multiple K-12 School Projects.
He has served on the Bellingham Planning Commission, Whatcom Museum Board, and the Northwest Discovery Project (Terraquarium) Board, and is currently serving on the City of Bellingham Design Review Board. He is a member of the Washington State Evergreen Society.
